Guide to Lake Iseo, Lombardy, Italy

Introduction

Lake Iseo, also called Lake Sebina, is the fourth largest
lake in the Lombardy region of Italy. The lake was formed by
the Valcamonica Glacier, and is 24 kilometres long and up
to 5 kilometres wide. This width is not always obvious as
the largest lake island in Europe, Monte Isola, sits in the
centre of the lake. The lake is situated just north of Brescia

We would not be welcomed a la Vice President Cheney.

Therapeutic benefits of essential oils have long been known and proven. Ever since ancient times, these strong and aromatic oil extracts from plants were being used to relax the body and sooth the mind. Hieroglyphics of the ancient Egyptians and old Chinese documents prove that even the earliest civilizations were aware of the various benefits of essential oils, including their healing benefits.

Modern studies confirm their health benefits, although there are still many debates about their therapeutic claims. Aromatherapy, which is a practice of healing through the use of therapeutic essential oils, however, remains to be popular around the world.

Sailing Ship Models

Sailing ship models are models of wind-powered ships. In olden times, before the advent of the steam engines, sailing ships were the primary means of transportation across long distances of water. Sailing ships were used for ferrying passengers, cargo, mail, supplies, etc. Some of the developing countries still use sailing boats for fishing. There are many tall ship training vessels that provide recreational sailing experience.

In the age of sail yore, sailing ships had crucial military applications. Several wars were fought using sailing ships. For example, Spanish convoys returning with gold and silver plundered from the newly-discovered Americas needed protection from the pirates. Naval battles were fought among the United Kingdom, France, Spain, and the Netherlands with the
